| You want to know the real beauty of table top games? This weekend is my "save money for next weekend" weekend, but in spite of not having money to do anything I was still able to sit down with my friends and hammer out a few hours of DnD. I couldn't even afford to go to a movie this weekend let alone drive to the tourney I wanted to go to, but still I found a cheap way to entertain myself. The money I spent on DnD books (as well as other RPG books) has ben recouped in a way that the money I've spent on video games can never, and I mean absolutely never be.
Don't get me wrong I still don't think most of the money I've spent on video games is a waste (the exception mostly being games I dug out of the bargain bin for like $9.99 [there's usually a good reason a game is only 9.99]), it's just that if you think BG II is/was amazingly expansive just think of how much more expansive games not limited to a few cds are.

| My favorite game of all time is morrowind. I have been playing it since it first came out, I was 9 I think.
Coming in a close 2nd is Half Life 2.
As for table top gaming I have never had the opportunity to try them, my friends just aren't into that stuff :\ |

| I'm a combination PC and console gamer, with a specialization in mecha and aerospace themed games. Some of my favorites include:
- Armored Core series (AC2, AC2:AA, AC3, AC3:SL, AC:Nexus, AC:NB, AC:LR, AC4, eagerly awaiting the US release of AC4A)
- Battlecruiser Millennium
- Beyond the Red Line (BSG-themed mod for Freespace)
- *Chromehounds
- Earthseige I and II
- Freespace I and II
- Heavy Gear I and II
- Iron Man
- Major Stryker
- Mechwarrior series (MW2, MW2: Mercs, MW3, MW3:PM, MW4, MW4:BK, MW4:Mercs)
- MS Flight Sim
- OMF 2097
- Phantom Crash
- Raptor: Call of the Shadows
- Roboforge
- Robot Arena I and II
- Star Lancer
- Terminal Velocity
- X-Plane
* In Chromehounds, the heavy "sniper cannons" fielded by the Democratic Republic of Tarakia are named for each of the fencing weapons: the M04SC "Epee", the M22SC "Fleuret", and the M36SC "Sabre".

| Not as much of a gamer as I used to be. My favorites were Quake III: Arena, the Metal Gear Solid series, Shinobi (ps2), Soul Calibur II and III, Halo (PC), the Half-life series, , Thief II and Thief: Deadly Shadows. Of the last two, I liked Thief II the best, but it won't run on my laptop. If you don't like FPS games, you'll probably love Portal.

| I like FPS games, and I like Portal. How does that work?
Oh, and were you actually one of the few that thought Soul Calibur III was good?

| Soul Calibur III was fun. It certainly isn't anything groundbreaking. But it has it's moments.
...
Because you like fps games? Since that is the case, then that sentence wasn't directed at you, now was it? I'm just saying, there are people out there who probably don't like FPS games but would most likely enjoy Portal despite it being in first person with something that "shoots".
Although for me, there is no better game then Mega Man X4. Especially when playing as Zero.

| X4 as Zero was awesome. The joys of comboing through his techs and wrecking the bosses with it....ahhhhhh. X5 and beyond never recaptured that goodness.

| The level design in X5 was particularly lackluster. It felt like they just stopped trying, I think they even used a remixed track from an older game in one stage.
The only other Mega Man game that comes close is Rockman and Forte when playing as Bass. If Capcom ever does a Mega Man 9, the best move they could do is a playable Protoman.

| Good killing, App13. They really shouldn't have let me be sniper on that map. I had 5 people dominated at one point, then the stupid spy started coming around.
