Lamé patch thingermajigger

I have a patch for my lamé because it has a whole in it, as I mentioned like 3 months ago. It's about an inch square. But it has recently fallen off. So the question is, how should I sew it on? Just a box around the perimeter? Or a box with an X? Or what?

Around the perimeter...just make sure the patch is big enough to catch onto solid material.

And of course fold over the edges to get a good electrical connection. The side that appears to have the metal thread pushing out, should be on the outside and folding that side over to conduct to the rest of the lame.
