Array Fie!!! http://www.blade-fencing.com/cgi-bin...1212653206311+
Opinions? Crap? Worth it? Anyone know which forge produces them? Did they fake the FIE stamp (*cough* FL *cough*)? It does look nice to my wallet! The only way to atone for being occasionally a little over-dressed is by being always absolutely over-educated. -Oscar Wilde -

Array Just going from obeservation (feel, balance, finish) ((Blade has never given me a straight answer)) I think that these are Luhansk/Dynamo blades. They do indeed make FIE Maraging blades, but I have not had a great deal of experiance with them. If you imagine one of the Fleche epees a bit heavier and more stiff that would pretty much be my impression of them, although they do not feel bad at all. Were it me, for my style of fencing, I would go with either a Leon Paul non-FIE blade or a Prieur FIE blade (light, fast). Also if you do not prefer a heavier blade the Vniti FIE is all but indestructabel and still under $100.
All things being equal I would not think it would be a bad blade but if you have gotten used to BF, StM or LP is will not be the first out of your bag and be regulated to the realm of backup to your backup IMHO.
Hope that helped. Just another lost soul saved by the (hit) First Church of EPEE!

Array Given that the FIE mark includes the forge, all you need to do is look at the blade to determine who made it. There may well be other manufacturer's names stamped into the metal, but the forge ID code is part of the official FIE stamp.

they dont picture the stamp, though.
looking at it would require buying one and i don't wanna do that without knowing the forge.
and so on... -

Array keep in mind though that the blade is not made from maraging steel but it is still an FIE nonetheless. -

Array i bought one of these, wired german, and i like it very much. the forte is kind of stiff, compared to other FIEs, but it's a nice medium-flex blade. "everything combusted?" --lucas, trying to verify what was said to him about a sandwich. what was actually said was "everything but mustard"
