    2004 Olympics

What should the FIE and IOC do about events for the 2004 Olympics?

    Craig,

I don't like any of the choices.

Why sabre? Because you don't take heads with the point.

I'm with sabreur. I don't like any of the choices.

Well, the answer that would have received all the votes would be "Add more medals and add all events" but that has a 0% chance of happening, so it's not on the poll.

Difficult choices, none of which make all people happy. That's what democracy is all about. ;-)

If you read the news item on the FIE website, Craig's questions become irrelevent as it appears that the Federations will vote for the Number 1 proposal, I.e. Women's sabre individual, and drop the lowest weapon at the last world championships team wise which was women's foil. other option is to call a special congress.
Personally I would prefer that women's sabre was omitted this time and it all sorted out correctly for 2008.

have to agree with saberur on this one. I don't like any of the choices. But given the choice, I'd rather add an event than lose any of the others.

i think they should have one for me. older female with operation marks and a few foils, a bad temper and a penchant for misplacing items. yelling at the strip and getting in trouble, weak ankles and an eye for the men. okay, we could see an event of about 100 women in various attire sitting on benches watching a bunch of men fence, i may get the bronze in that one depending on how well the men fenced, what i saw in them. what do you think any chance?
