| It does! I hated girl scouts and the guys wouldn't let me join their troup. Man, I felt really put out by them.

| I hear that all the time about boy scouts looked more fun to all the girls i know that were in the GS. Such as one girl once said "we [the girlscouts] sew, and bake things why you guys go camping, and hiking.

| I was a Girl Guide for several years... it was fun. I went through around three troops, and I quit in the end because my troop leader was always blah-ing about something or other So, I decided to join fencing afterwards because I needed something else to do. GOOD choice!

| What's the deal with that new Girl Scout thing, where instead of being even remotely outdoorsy they just sit around and talk about shopping, their feelings and the like? I think it's called Studio something?

| I really hated girl scouts. I already knew how to sew when I joined so I was put in the 'exemplary sewing group' My gosh, I was bored stiff. I wanted to go hiking, camping, get dirty. Jeeze, I don't need sewing!!!! I need sticks, stones and mud. If I could have, I would have dressed up as a guy and joined. But the troop leader knew me... bah!

Boy scouts do loads more than us puny, weakling females , the only thing I regret about Girl Guides is that I wish we had done more outdoorsy and woodsy stuff, and learned about wilderness survival. oy.

| Es-1987 Class of 1987.
Might want to include GS Gold award in the poll too, if I remember correctly.
Also, Explorer scouts are co-ed. Lots of fun! I was in a Medical post for about 2 years before going off to college. It's a really great way to get an inside scoop on a profession. |

| I never joined, it never appealed to me. I had a forrest behind my house anyway, I learned all that survival crap from my mountain folk friends.
