LP points spares - incompibility warning

As is well known LP have redesigned their points.
Some of the spares now available are NOT compatible with the old Points :-

The shank of the tip / button is slightly longer than before.
The screw holes in the barrel are further from the end.

This means the old tips won't fit the new barrels.
I've not had time to check whether the new tips fit the old barrels but I suspect they won't. At the very least the tip will stick out a lot further.

Not great pictures,but hope they make sense

If you have an old LP "foil point aplicator" it won't be long enough for the new barrels either. So if you buy an aplicator, check it will fit the new barrels.
