| If You Were Stranded on a Island... What three books would wan't to have with you?
Mine would be
1. "Shogun" by James Clavell
2. "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" either translation
3. "The Thief of Always" by Clive Barker.

| Oh, stop trying to impress one another. You all know that you'd be bored of those books after a week, then you'd be longing for just three books/magazines, and they'd all begin with the title "Playboy's Girls of," or "Playgirl's Boys of."

| How about my laptop, a generator and a satellite uplink so I can go to Project Gutenberg?
No, then I could email for rescue....
I think Telkanura's list is pretty good, although I'd probably substitute the Bible for the LOTR. For entertainment, not for solace or guidance.

MR | Yeah... his list is great, especially since he seems to have ignored the 3 book limit. |

| And if you're really into it, you could bring
A classical Greek dictionary
the Ilias in classical Greek
the Odyssea in classical Greek
That'll keep you occupied for quite some time...

| Look, if we are getting picky one shouldn't consider the Bible a single book either.
