    Champion Fencing Clothing

Does anyone know of a retail outlet for the new Champion fencing clothing? I checked with the Champion website and they don't plan on carrying them.

I think the Italian team wears uniforms that carry the Champion logo, but are actually made by one of the regular manufacturers (Allstar, Uhlmann, etc.)

Why sabre? Because you don't take heads with the point.

Sabreur is correct. This came up a while ago, and Champion does not make fencing kit, they just stick the logo on someone else’s uniforms, although I think it may be Negrinni or Estoc instead of Uhlmann/Allstar although I am not sure about that. It is a way to sponsor a team and get free advertising without actually having to support the sport by making equipment. Adidas does the same thing and their Uniforms are just Uhlmann FIE full stretch kits with cheap graphics that fade when you wash them. And for the privilege of being a billboard, if you are not a sponsored fencer you pay and extra couple hundred dollars.

That's basically also why no one actually buys the adidas stuff. You only see it on people (e.g. many German top fencers) because they are sponsored. Still, I wish, Nike, Reebok, Champion or whatever would get into producing fencing equipmet seriously just like adidas makes the fencing shoes. Just imagine fencing without adidas fencing shoes! I would guess around 80% of all fencing shoes worn are from adidas!

And how the heck do Allstar and Negrini let them get away with it?
