| Noob Question: 800/350N Knickers Hi all!
I have a question about FIE Knickers. Will 800/350 N certified equipment pass on tourneys? Or does it have to be 800 N all the way?
Thanks in advance,
til

| At least in the US the 350N is good enough for most tournaments. If you go to any of the World Cups or Olympics, then you are going to need 800N. If you see yourself going international invest in 800N, if not, then 350N is just fine. I have the Uhlmann 350N jacket and knickers and they are pretty good. |

| if you buy knickers from a regular reputible vender (not on ebay if it doesn't mention brand), you'll be fine. 99% of the tournaments in the usa, at least, don't check things like this. i can't say anything about tournaments abroad, however. world cups do, though i don't think you're asking about this. |

| thing is - what is this counted as? 350N oder 800N? After all, my FIE Tag says: R. TISSU 800/350 NW.....
They do check for FIE gear here, so I want to be sure, It'll pass. By the way: They're Uhlmann Knickers.

| Does it have the FIE label on it? If it doesn't, then it most likely won't pass. |

| i'm not an expert.
but i suppose its possible the knickers are a composite, 800n panels on the top and the rest is 350?
maybe?
can't say i've ever seen a tag as you've described it. |

| The 800/350 was the old FIE stuff. Like, pre 96....
It no longer meets FIE requirements.
I'm pretty sure that Germany requires FIE gear. If they do, your uniform is not valid for tournaments. You should check their rules to see if a current FIE uniform is required.
