Hi All! I am not a fencer, but I stumbled across this site and read through some of the fiction threads, which I think are very interesting.
I happen to be an editor with a small press publishing company (and a reviewer of short fiction for a popular website) and I wanted to encourage some (or all) of you to consider submitting stand-alone stories, if you have them, on the theme of swords and swordfighting.
If you try this link
www.pitchblackbooks.com and look around a bit you'll find guidelines for our anthology "Razor-edged Arcanum" (now open for submissions) as well as info about our soon-to-be-released anthology "Lords of Swords" (now open for preorders).
The anthologies are professionally printed and illustrated; we pay writers up to 6 cents a word for fiction between 3 and 8 thousand words.
This is my first post -- I don't want to seem like I'm spamming. This is such an unusual and cool site, that I couldn't resist letting you all know about us --we are always seeking good fiction writers, especially unknowns.... (I found you web-searching "swordfighting"....
Please have a look around; I look forward to reading more of your posts here and congratulate you on a very entertaining and informative site
