| Two-party This was kinda prompted by the "electoral colledge" thread.
Which is superior-two party, or free for all?

Peter Gustafsson | A nation-wide fencing tournament. Winner in each weapon and gender runs for office. A boxing match to the death determines the final winner. |

Only if all entrants are nude... then we'll see who the better man/woman is

| Peter, I don't know how many got the fractal reference.... Here's at least one reference, with pretty pictures http://ccrma-www.stanford.edu/~stilt...ctors/nav.html

Peter Gustafsson | Where does the butterfly effect come in?
I never saw the movie, but heard it's horribly depressing. |

Reference, I believe, to a metaphor from chaos theory. In explaining how the weather is a chaotic system, one frequently hears mentioned that a butterfly flapping its wings in China can cause a hurricane on the other side of the globe.
Terry Pratchett describes this particular species of butterfly as having beautiful mandelbrot coloration on its wings, and wonders why people don't just go stomp on the damn thing and stop all these hurricanes. |

| Yes, I understand the butterfly effect, and have read many of Terry Pratchett's books - I just do not understand how it applies to me. |

| It's a tedious pun, Soldier: you said "strangely attractive", strange attractors are a form of fractal curves, and Peter G made a joke reference to butterfly effects, another notion tied to fractals. (Jokes don't work if you hafta explain them, math jokes even moreso)
