Any one know any good fencing games?

Besides actuall fencing, obvously... Anyways, I don't know about anyone here, but at the club I go to, if we ever get bored but still want to fence, we make up games. Such as, we eliminate the right-of-way. (I know, it's pretty much just epee when you do that, but still...) Or we play 'Skew the rat', or stuff like that. Does anyone here know any more games like that? Or am I the only on who does this?

We have a great game we play at home. We write all the competitions the kids are supposed to go to on cards and expected income/costs on another card. We draw cards for a meet and then make up outlandish ways we will be able to afford it.
The winner is the one who is not crying at the end.
A friend will bail you out of jail,
a true friend will help you hide the body...

Not entirely related but one of the best times we have had at fencing that wasn't fencing was when we had to pull up all the tape we had put down to define a strip. We balled it up and played soccer for a while with the little tape ball. Well more correctly we passed the little tape ball around, but it was immensely fun none the less.

    Fencing games?

Mock Schlager -- blow up small balloons and place them on a saber mask at forehead, and each cheek (safety pins work best). 2 saber fencers face each other with bells about an inch from touching a full arm extension. Referee uses stick or weapon in between, and when it drops the two attack. No retreating or advancing allowed. For real fun, put a beer mug behind the fencer's back foot -- any beer gets spilled, he has to buy everyone a beer. First one to lose a balloon loses.

5 man Saber team competition. Balloons as mock Schlager, plus ballons on chest, each shoulder and weapons arm elbow. 5 man teams line up side to side, facing another 5 man team. On "begin!" each team fences the other, simultaneously. Multiple attackers on an individual are allowed. When a balloon is popped, the person must retire. Competition doesn't end until one side is eliminated. Losing team has to toast the other side with beverage of choice, who has to return the favor, before competing again.

"Grand Wazoo". Similar to 5 man saber team, but more like a melee. This was a staple at some fencing parties in the LA area some years ago as the penultimate competition at the party. End of the party was everyone would split into 2 teams and have a mass team saber melee in the street in front of the house were the parties were usually held. Protective equipment required... Neighbors would come from blocks away to watch and fencers from all over LA area.

"Beam fencing". This was done down at the beach. We used 20' long 12x1" boards laid in the sand. Fencers would fence normally, but if you stepped off the beam you lost a touch. We tried this with a raised beam but don't recommend it since you *will* fall off -- repeatedly. Doing it on sand was soft and worked well.

"Sand fencing" Normal fencing done in beach sand. Footwork is Totally different, since you have to plow through the sand. You can lay out the boundaries of a strip with rope on the sand, or just measure and draw it out.

I've heard of chess fencing but never done that. You use teams of fencing representing the pieces on a chess board, and when pieces meet, they fence with a one touch winner taking or defending the square. Don't know much about it, other than heard it described to me once.

There are a bunch of variations on other sports as fencing games -- "Horse" or "Baseball" or "hangman" where you have to win a touch to get a letter, or advance or whatever.
