Indeed, that's the sort of display model for the Italian march, when everything goes right. Also, the Chinese handled it better this year... so by looking at how China changed against Italy, comparing old-China vs new-China, there might be an insight into what the Italian march is made of. Of course, we'd have to find the video feed of that team match...
My "personal" interest is that although I beat Sanzo 5-3 when he was 16 (I was 19) at a Junior world cup, he later kicked my arse 5-0 in 1995 in the first round of Universiade 95. I wanna know WHY!!!
Pretty cool!! A personal history with Sanzo! It's a sort of reverse parallel to the Chinese story. Good for the article! I wonder what happened to Sanzo in those intervening years... a change in coaching, a vespa accident with head trauma?
