Reuters Olympic fencing review article

Reuters have put up a short review article on fencing at the olympics. An interesting comment is:

"The white light, which tells the referee that nobody has scored in the foil, made its last appearance at the Games before its axing next year."

I've heard that removing white lights is an idea that Rene Roch is pushing, but I didn't think anything had been decided on yet.

Then again, the writer doesn't sound like he knows what the white lights show ("tells the referee nobody has scored"?), so maybe he's mistaken about their axing, too...

Vezzali -- off to have a baby. Trillini -- probably retiring. The Italians are going to need to find some replacements.

Reuters is notorious for mis-information and/or scrambling up the facts. Be careful when you read articles from them in ANY subject. Especially medical findings.
