Anyone tried the new Adistars?

Have heard very favourable reviews of the D'Artagnan 2s, but don't know anyone with the new Adistars (Lo)...

... so, does anyone have first-hand experience of them?

Thanks,
Boo

Very lightweight, stiff structure, excellent traction, lots of support (I wear fencing orthotics with extra in the arch and the adistars have so much even with the removable insole removed that it shoves up into my arch). Everybody is gradually getting used to the appearance though I still get "Flash Gordon" remarks. I've heard people complain they don't "breathe" much but I don't notice any extra sweat in my already-existing welter thereof.

They're fine.

how do they hold up to rollig the back foot (i know its wrong but after this many years i ain't going to change) the original equipment/adistars were great but the inside of the rear shoe disintegrated waaay to easily.

Got a pair, haven't really tried them full on. Still breaking them in. Shoes are made to accept rolling the back foot (during the lunge). One nice design: the outside portion of the foot (outstep?) has extra rubber material to prevent the back foot from rolling over when retreating. That is, has a wider base.

Don't know about the benefits of the off-centered lacing. The parts of the shoe that gets worn out a lot seems to be of a pretty tough rubber material. Hope it holds out longer than your standard leather padding. (It's adiprene[r]).
