| Fencing Video Distribution Servers I've received three very large files courtesy of DFP Hadouken (Props to the man):
Men's Team Foil (Bronze Medal), Men's Team Saber (Gold Medal,) and Women's Team Epee (Bronze Medal.)
Total size for all three files is 606Mb. Currently, the files are in an .asf format, though I suspect they can be made much smaller using .wmf format. If anyone has the editing software/hardware to accomplish this, I'll have my friend grant you access to his server, and you can download the files. If not, we're going to start distributing files to those who have FTP servers first. Access will be granted on on a first come, first serve basis. PM me with your FTP address if you want receive an upload. If you want to be the one to download instead, be prepared to give your IP address as it will be needed to gain access through the server firewall.
The FTP is limited to 200Kbps. So, expect to put around 4 1/2 hrs of your day aside.

| I too captured some of the Italian stream. The file grabbed by one of the clients I tried is editable (asp), the rest done with another one (StreamDown) is also ASP but not editable with any of the editors or converters I have.... I wonder if there is a utility out there to read / edit the file headers to see whats up with that. |

Someone has contacted me and they say they've the ability to edit video on a frame by frame basis. I can convert file formats, but I can't edit them. What formats does your editor support?

| Update There are two transfer sessions lined up for today, so if you want to sign up for an account on the FTP server, send me a PM and we'll try to fit you in for Saturday.
***update***
The time is 10:37pm EST, and we've got one opening for one file. First person to PM me gets access. The server will be down for maintenance if no one with an FTP server contacts me by 10:45pm EST.
***update***
Server down for the night. Back up tomorrow.

| Server space I'm not sure if server space is an issue for you folks, but I could perhaps mirror some files on FRED's server, which right now has a fair amount of disk space and bandwidth to spare. As long as we're all ok with getting the files via HTTP instead of FTP (i don't do much video work, so not sure about file types, etc.), since I don't allow anonymous FTP on that server. I could post a http link to the files here... |

| And again, I don't get it...
What does a simple surfer have to do in order to line up? Can one actually?

Server space isn't an issue, but bandwidth is. The FTP were using is limited to 200Kbps. We have one person with another low bandwidth FTP, and one with a T-3, but that won't be available for another two weeks or so. I think your HTTP connection will be just fine. PM me if you want an account on his FTP server.

Once we've a good list of servers and hosts, you'll be able to start downloading from the people with the high bandwidth.
