I thought that I had read either through American Fencing or one of the USFA press releases that George Kolombatovich was the member of the FIE Refereeing Commision who was responsible for assigning the referees for the Olympic Games.

I also thought that it was proper protocol that if the referee expressed his concerns to the assignor that he was not up to refereeing a bout/match, that the assignor should honor that and assign somebody else.

Right ... And why did the Warren Commission mention a conspiracy at all? Just say Oswald acted alone and leave it at that. Mentioning it at all gives the whole thing kind of a "nudge nudge wink wink" effect. As if to say "It was a conspiracy, but for political reasons we can't say it was conspiracy, so officially we're saying it was NOT a conspiracy ....

Dunno. Never had much interest in the Warren Commisision or its report ( or conspiracy theories ), so I don't know what it said. Or care, particularly.

Guess I missed your point.
