Yeah, I read Drudge- but, I wouldn't consider him a valid news source. For the most part, he links to news that has already been reported by other journalists. Also, he is a conservative, and seldom verifies the authenticity of news relevant to a conservative intitiative. For instance, when the photo of Kerry with Fonda hit the Internet, he didn't bother to verify that it hadn't been doctored. Drudge is a pretty sharp guy, so he must know that you don't accept shocking photos from the Internet at face value. About the only thing he is good for is the occasional explosive rumor exclusive.

hehe, I agree to some extent. I do believe that no internet source is completely valid, though, I also believe that no source off the internet is valid.
someone else on this forum posted about that picture. It was on another internet site talking about the Bush daughters were talking to an "Unknown" athlete. Thought is was very funny ^_^

This may be a troll, but I'll bite. All mainstream newspapers "link" to other news articles when they pull articles "off the wire", using stories from AP, Reuters, and others. As for him being conservative, he's said in the past that he'll print dirt on anyone regardless of their political affiliation, which is why he is generally considered a moderate. You should look into the various New York Times scandals--even what is considered the flagship newspaper out here does a terrible job of fact checking!
Sorry to hear Sada's on drudge and hope the rehab goes well . . .

A troll? Excuse me? Nothing I said here is trollish, and I find your comments offensive. Look at the rep dot, Matlock- it's green.
As for mainstream newpapers "linking," you're misinterpreting what I said. CNN, MSNBC, etc... don't link to Yahoo!, or Pravda the way Drudge does- as you said, they use (license) information from AP and Reuters. Also, as news organizations, the afore mentioned have plenty of their own reporters that can gather and report information. My point was that Drudge merely posts links, like a news blog, and doesn't buy or license any of the content he acquires (with exception of his famous rumors.) I understand that Drudge has said he will print dirt on anyone, but in action he is much quicker to post damning information against liberals than he is against conservatives. When the Kerry/Fonda photo hit the Internet, Drudge posted it as top news in bold print with police lights. When it was proven that the photos were fake, he made it a secondary link underneath a couple other stories on his site. He actions call into question his words. Also, he is good friends with Ann Coulter; can she even say the word "moderate" without hissing like someone has poured holy water on her?

Y'know, it's not like any of the "changes" I made are that significant. All I did was stop calling people "f aggots." I figured after a couple years, I needed a new buzzword. I still haven't it though.

A term used to embellish the truth beyond reasonable recognition. This term was imported from the German word gonken and the Spanish verb gonkar. For example, "Du gonkst mir" means "You're pulling my leg" in German. In cyber-speak, it may be said as "You're gonking me."
