    Another introduction...

Just doing the official 'Hi, how are ya?' So hi, how are ya?

Been fencing off and on since '87, teaching for an alarming amount of that time. My primary weapon is foil but I've been having fun branching into sabre lately. My husband and I are fencing with a great little bunch in Virginia, the Isle of Wight Fencing Club . It's a pretty new club, just starting on its third year, but the enthusiasm and the cadre are solid gold.

Now to go poking around and see what there is to see.........

She's a foilist, at least for the nonce. So poking is appropriate.

Meli - Thanks muchly for the welcome and I'm quite spiffy today, thanks for asking!

TMD - Although I'm insanely ticklish myself, I'll confess that 'poking' and 'ticklish' aren't linked in my mind but if you insist............. <g> And the fencing's not too shabby down here. Come on down for a visit some time and we'll show you!

Inquartata - If people would prefer I hack and slash my way around here, I could certainly see to it -- I try to be obliging, especially if it just happens to result in a little amusing mayhem...... I'd be picking up epee in addition to sabre if the blade I had purchased from *grumblegrumble* wasn't so soft as to be laughable. If it were one of my primary weapons, I'd call it my aluminum foil. :-/

...I now return you to your regularly scheduled life, already in progress...

Soft blade? I'd like to see it, but it would probably be "epee-per-view".

    Welcome to the board.

Thank you, Inq, I aim to distress when it comes to things like that. <g>

And Brian, I'm naming this big bruise in the middle of my forehead after you. I got it when I started thunking my head on my desk in disbelief at completely missing that opportunity myself. *sigh* Ow.

I saw an ad for that stuff in the back of a comic book but I hear it's really just WD-40 in a fancy-schmancy bottle.
