The only ones I've heard of are the Estoc and Schermasport screwless tips.

I have only heard of the Schermasport variety, I actually have one. Zivcovik was selling them a couple of years back, he very well might still have them. Mine had some intermitancy issues, but the real problem is getting parts. Zivcovik only had full assemblies; tip, spring, barrel, and wire; for sale, not individual parts. I wasn't willing to shell out the dough for a whole new set up if something went wrong, so I dumped the whole thing. I sincerely wish we had access to some better tip technology though, I do all my own armory but I'm not one of those that enjoys it very much.

I've tried some of the screwless tips before and they didn't hold up. Once the barrel gets dinged, there is a good chance that the thread is damaged. Also, if the tip comes off, well - there it goes, shooting across the room. ;-)

If they can get these working more reliably, I may use them - but I haven't seen one that holds up well yet.

    Cheers,
    Craig

In addition to Estoc and Scherma Sport there's also Nova-Scherma, (another Italian manufacturer) and there's a Russian version as well (don't have a name for them, sorry). The parts ARE all available independently, just not in the US. At least not yet. Any vendor that buys the tips should also be able to stock the parts involved, or at least include them as part of their next order to that manufacturer. Ask them.
