I dunno where you been lately, RL. Sada isnt to bad looking, and emily is great looking, and mariel isnt bad looking either. Epee has alot of hot chicks (laura flessel) and foil has a bombshell(Sylwia Gruchala).....

At least 6 out of the top 10 on the senior point standings are quite attractive women, not a bad ratio outside of model shoots and beauty contests. Of course, some are, er, let's just say that if they were fish one would have to throw them back. But still...

They aren't that hot. Just compare them to the tennis or volleyball girls. Look how hot the swimming and diving girls are. The typical fening woman is either too thick or too skinny with a big flat a$$. Just look at the girls in your club.
It's all opinion, people! For example, I think Nicole Kidman is gorgeous, but Halle Berry doesn't do it for me.
Personally, I don't think the women's saber fencer's mentioned are attractive. I have friends who saw Sada's pic in and they are saying 'wow, total babe.'
So, you don't find the women attractive, fine. No need to insult them, or those that see the beauty. Just move on with your life.

You're nuts. Maybe you find Martina Navratilova hot? Have you ever checked out your local tennis club, to check out the girls there? I don't expect the "average" woman in any group to look like Maria Sharapova (or Sylwia Gruchala, for that matter) ... yes, professional athletes who are paid millions of dollars to eat healthy and exercise every day look better than those who have to work 9 to 5 and come out to fencing practice a few times a week.
If you think that swimmers at the rec level are hotter than fencers, then go find a public pool, go to an "adult swim" time, and count the women you'd rather not see in a bathing suit. I think you'll see that comparing to other sports at the "club" level puts fencing in a pretty decent spot. Certainly hotter girls than swimming or tennis, though probably less than something like long-distance running or cross-country skiing, where overall conditioning is better than fencing, at low levels.

Last time I checked, all fish were edible if prepared properly.... Of course that's just an analogy....

Actually, the girls at my club are all rather comely if you ask me. As far as chicks that are actually interested in me.... hard to come by.
