    Cliff Bayer

    If you notice Cliff Bayer is no longer number one in point standings. What's up? Is he no longer in the game? I saw him compete at the Rose Condon in Shreveport, LA a few months ago. I was surprised to see a guy like that at such a small event. He lost to a guy from Egypt named Shaker 15 to 11. So what's the story with Bayer? Did he retire?

    At least temporarily-- he took a year off from work on his business degree to train for Sydney, and now he seems to be pretty much taking this season off to get the degree done (Ann Marsh did the same thing after the '96 Olympics).
