| We are proud to wear white. and what we'll do next....a fake nose and a yellow curly wig?
Is so American to think that a bunch of colors can be add to a beautiful white uniform just for fun.....we are not clones or clowns ...we are elegant athletes......
[Webmaster: I edited this post to get rid of the all caps title. I don't like all caps titles. They are "shouting" and I consider them evil.]

| You are welcome to wear white if you wish.
And I will wear colors and designs if I wish.
And that is why Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors of ice cream.

Then can you explain Trillini's blue pants, and 2-tone jacket at worlds? Or how about Cuomo's green and red uniform that a couple other Italians wear?

| I think I'll change my topic in:
How cute is that girl and how old are she?
Maybe it will turn in a better discussion |

| lol...I can assure you all that Doug's girlfriend is of age, & that she'll absolutely LOVE your comments!
As far as this thread goes..."grow up" seems to be the best statement to sum up the topic.
For further reference: I prefer the traditional white. And I'm Russian/English. <img src="graemlins/blah.gif" border="0" alt="[Blah]" />

| For my own preference I like the white, I think it looks proffesional and its part of our identity as fencers. That aside I have to make do with 'strawberry cheesecake' since my girlfriend washed my kit mixed in with a red throw.

| Coming next:
Tie-dyed judo gi's
Fishnet sumo "diapers" ( whatever those things are called )
Dayglo spandex cricket outfits ( with aerodynamic helmets )
There is a reason they are called fencing uniforms, after all. Pretty hard to be uniform if you're multiform, eh?

Colors in fencing are a great idea if executed correctly. Every person making there own designs is not a great idea. It is a uniform, I agree, that's why I like national colors and designs, and on a smaller scale, club designs. And just to be different avoiding 3 stripes in the design would be nice.
