are all FIE blades maraging?

No, although most are. I believe only leon paul produces non maraging fie blades, and they are stamped.

No, there are a few that are not maraging. To be considered FIE, there is a flex test for how long it takes to break. The only other material requirement is it must be a form of steel, it can't be a composite or graphite.

Leon Paul does not make non-maraging FIE blades. There are 3 that make non-maraging blades. They are Allstar/Uhlmann, Sport Service and Metal West. This is only for Epee. There are none that I know of for Foil.

You can check the Escrime magazine online #45 from last year. This is the latest published.

I think I heard somewhere that the StM non-FIE blades were either imported or made by metal west or sport service and that may be why DHCjr did not mention them.
