Chicago-land tourneys?

Howdy everyone. Well I noticed that alot of classes were beginning to sprout up in the chicago-land area, so this lead me to thinking: would this cause for any tournaments to begin in the Chicago-land suburbs? If anyone knows of any tournament for any division (preferrably foil) within the chicagoland area or it's suburbs, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx!

Check out the Illinois division website for a list of tournaments. http://totheescrime.org/Illinois/events-2004-2005.html (I think this is a preliminary schedule, so I would imagine things will be added later as well as some dates may change).
The Remenyik is a very strong tournament held at Northwestern University (in SPAC again) on October 23rd and 24th, so you should definately look into fencing in that event. The Burton is also held at NU a few weeks before that (the 9th I think), though it doesn't have nearly the same number of entries.

There are some tournaments in the 'burbs, mainly IFC in Mount Prospect (they will be holding about four tournaments) and Northwestern University in Evanston (they hold two competitions in October). The Division Secretary (Will Mego) has put up a perliminary schedule on his website after the Division meeting the other weekend. If you are a member of the USFA, you should receive a mailing of the final schedule sometime in early September I believe. There are also several high-quality competitions at the CAAFC downtown.
