    Do any exist?

Women's epee might be troublesome though.

    MFP,
What are you suggesting?? Do you think women fencers should wear skirts and have bare legs??
If that ever happened men should fence in kilts with no protector cup!
THAT would be a spectator sport!

Yeah, that would be pretty neat. 100 years ago, I'd say why not. Today, I say no way. Fencing is so much different today than it was 100 years ago. Today a woman would get her legs torn up fencing in a skirt.

Is it possible to make protective kevlar stockings not as thick as tights. We do want to see a little muscle definition around the calf and thigh areas.

That is true, but there is still the opportunity for the skirt to fly up (bloomers please!) in the middle of a particularly wild action.

OK. I see what you mean. Perhaps stockings are not as good as say kevlar panty hose as it will provide more coverage.

i believe skirts should be optional, as are earrings and lipstick, which we still see today. i can see the lip balm, but the earrings need to go! [how about the cigerette]

As you can see from that advertisement, they were promoting Camel cigarettes with fencing. Ain't nuthin' healthier than smoking some tobacco after fencing.

I like the ad copy "More doctors smoke Camels."

or even during fencing, i see no reason why not. so much is permitted, why not make a new mask with a space for cigerettes, and place ashtrays on the table next to the box?

... ... so if you were to wear a fencing skirt, would you have to put the jacket on first, then, or what?
