Canada has never won an Olympic medal in Fencing....EVER!!
We now have a new hope. A lady name Sherraine McKay, an Epeeist has left Canada for "elite" training in Paris, France. Over the past few months, CBC Radio has been doing reports on many of our Olympic hopefuls, but on several occasions have come back to Sherraine for interviews, and updates.
The highlights, and info she is bringing to Canadians about fencing is great, especially in a country where it is not a predominant sport.

I don't know about anyone else, but as a Canuck, I'm pretty excited that we may finally get a medal at the Olympics in fencing. I'm sad that she had to travel to Paris and leave Canada to obtain the necessary training. However, she will eventually have to come back and teach the rest of us!!! If only she fenced sabre........
