Array I posted alot of my goals to my journal, but as an addendum - this season I want at least to get my 'B', and possibly some senior points so I'll have another event to fence at nationals. Array I wanna make the Cadet and Junior team, and make it to the semi's in a Div 1.
Doesn't sound too hard now does it? "You can honestly say that you can settle for a life full of repression and denial?" "And the dinner parties. You can never forget the dinner parties." -
1) Winning my first open DE and getting a "D" in epee.
2) Hunking down and really practicing foil (not a high priority as in epee but would like not to embarass myself in in open competitions) -

Array Recover my fitness after two years of study-enforced minimal training, go to a couple of Coupe D'Nord tournaments, and campaign a Mens Sabre Team to the German Vet Championships.
MR Why sabre? Because you don't take heads with the point. -

Array To stay far, far away from division politics You can train for strength & speed but heart must come from within.

Array Are you from DC Fencing Club? "Since when does being a patriot in America mean shutting your mouth?"

Array Heard that. But I've been considering taking a more proactive approach to the problem. Our division needs more "objective" officers. Any comments Peach? "Since when does being a patriot in America mean shutting your mouth?"

Dont get dead last in every tornament, Get my D rank in epee, and make the JO in cadet and Junior. Also dont get killed by the big epeeist that are scary....

Array 1)get healthy.
2) stay healthy.
3)fence.
it is not surprising how few results you get when you are too injured to fence...
(from someone who has been injured for 12 of the last 14 months in three different and unrelated ways)

Array To destroy all who would stand in my way as I march toward Total Epee Domination.
... And not feel guilty about it. -

Array Get over my debilitating competition jitters, which will probably include learning/living/loving One Touch At A Time and going to more meets that aren't at my home club. I'm tired of kicking our Cs around at practice and then losing to Es in competition. -

Array To make it to A grades... With infinite complacency men went to and fro over this globe about their little affairs, serene in their assurance of their empire over matter -

Array 1. Work harder
2. Earn my D in Epee
3. Compete in my first Saber tournament and not come in last.
4. Fence in my first Veteran's event and not come in last. That which doesn't kill me only delays the inevitable. -

Array Fence more, do a little more competition, avoid knee (re)injury. These are mutually exclusive! "In theory, theory and practice are the same, but in practice, theory and practice are different." -

Array I would like to get through an antire year without injuring another ( or the same) body part, and not be dead last (a spreviously mentioned) in any given tournament. I 'd also like to score at least 8 touches on my 13 year old son in a 15 touch bout. IS THIS TOO MUCH TO ASK, GOD! My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. -
