    titles!?

this was in the greetings thread but there's little traffic there so here's an idea people with years in activity 1 yr, 2, 3, 4, 5, ect. should get something to the tittle. something like elder member or whatever (varing by year).

    -what do you think.

    sorry about the title.

Tittle? I came in here totally expecting something else.
The solution to your problem is to fence another weapon.

Really you can? I didn't know there was a pay-to-board option out here. I must have missed the ad and marketing campaign.

But then again, I don't really need a title for $24. Or a tittle for that matter. I'm sure it costs much more than $24 for a good set!

I've been vaguely wondering whether I want to be "Grand Poobah," "Official Skink," "Totemic Mama," or "Waffle Buns," and have given up and settled for "Senior Member," even though it's racier than I deserve.

HA ha. It is alot like trying to select a good phrase for a vanity license plate. Although Waffle Buns is catchy and quite memorable (**), just sticking to Senior Member has it's obvious benefits!

P.S. (**)Do note that I DID NOT say, descriptive!

If I were looking for any, it would definately be for two! But no, not looking. Sufficiently happy as they are!

Sure, but used properly it could bring in MUCH more than ever it cost. It's all about return on investment.

Yes, but that's something you hope you only have to pay once.

Maybe if the reputation point system was more intergrated, titles could be awarded by that.

Then there's the new designations for the veteran's groups I learned @ Charlotte:
    V60+ = Geezer
    V50-59 = Junior Geezer
    V40-49 = Cadet Geezer

I think "Cadet Geezer" has a ring to it for myself: Youthful, yet wise, with a rueful twist of irony.

And of course, the ultimate for the 30+ wannabes . . . "Baby Geezer."

But yet I've never seen Peach toting a microphone...

I think perhaps we 40-49s should be "geezers-in-waiting". Since the FIE does not even recognize us as Veterans, you know. Even though I was affronted to hear that someone watching me fence in Div I-A last week remarked to my coach that "He looks pretty old"!

Keep in mind that to a 13-year-old, a 21-year-old is old. I swear to god, some of the kids I fenced in the I-A are a quarter my age.
