Reintroducing myself

Well guys I'm not exactly new here, but I haven't been very active since before the forums were redesigned, but I think I'm going to be active again both on the forums and in the sport, so I thought should reintroduce myself for all the people who may be new and refresh the memories of the regulars too.
As you can see from my profile, I'm from Utah, Salt Lake City to be precise. I used to fence with Salt Lake Fencing Club. That entity is currently not in existence any longer, though I hold out hope that it may come back into being some day but it looks like some of my old club mates have started another club so I'm going to try to get back into the sport again provided my school and work schedule allows it.
Those of you who will remember me from before may recall that I was a graduate student in communications (specifically written communication) and I'm still doing it, but I'm getting closer to the end of the degree now and I finally have a thesis project topic that looks to work out, so how active I manage to be may depend on how hectic my last few semesters are, specifically once I start seriously working on my thesis. As for age we'll just say I'm a lot closer to thirty than I'd like to be at the moment.
I started fencing as an adult and I guess I've been at it for about five years, although due to absence of a club I haven't fenced in the last year except in my dreams--and let me tell you, you know you're a hopeless case when you start having fencing withdrawl dreams . I currently manage to remain unranked and sometimes fear that will be the way it's going to be forever. I'm a foilist for the moment and I suspect will remain one at heart forever, but when time money and club resources permit, I'd like to start doing sabre as well.
So, anyway, it's nice to be back.
