online books of saber basics

Hello
Im new the the fencing game...I have been doing philipino escrima "combat escrima" for 15 years and I just got interested in the saber fencing.

Can anyone help me to find an online link or pages that will teach me the basics of saber fencing. PICS will work great.
Any help would be nice, the more pics the better.

I have been in Martial Arts for 27 years and did saber fencing when I was 12 for a year, I forgot many things and would like to get back in the game.

Thanks

No one else is reponding to this, so I'ma step up to the plate.

There aren't a whole lot of books that will teach you modern fencing well. Here's a link that should get you somewhere. Your best bet is to find a club nearby, so you can actually see how to fence. If not, good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I may have not said enough about my saber past...
I did saber fencing for one year in Germany 3 times a week for at least a year. i was at a Ungarish Gymnasium...An Upper level educational institution. But it was when i was about 12 or 13. I have the basics down, But there are manythings I forgot.

Also, I teach Phillipino martial arts of Escrima, very close to Saber fencing. So, I have basics. What I need to know If there are any online sites where they have pics and clips and online books. Im trying to go the free route first.

As far as a fencing club near me, NOPE. none that I can get to at this time.

Thanks for any help you guys post.

Escrima isn't the same as sabre. While I have no doubt you've developed excellent timing and distance, as far as technique goes you may even be at a disadvantage to someone who has no weapon training, since you have reflexive techniques and movements that are wrong for sabre. Without a coach, club, or a decent training partner, you're wasting your time. I'm not trying to be rude or mean, and have the highest respect for philippino weapon styles, but with your particular free route to sabre you're going to get exactly what you're paying for it.

I totaly resepct what you are telling me. I know exactly what you mean.

So, for now I just have to use my saber equiptment and my time just to have fun with it. And when I can get to a school I will. Right now, thats impossible. 100 percent No way to get to a school.

Training partners ? I have many.
I teach an exscrima club of over 30 people, so, the will just have to do.
As I said before. I do have basics, so I do know what Im doing.
When I went over to Hungary this summer and I played around with the local Saber group they were surprised that I even know this much that I do. And, we had some fum. My past training translated over very well to saber.

But, Im looking for info on the net. before I dish out cash for the vids and stuff.

I do like the fact that you write and try to help. Thanks
