I think this is close enough to on-topic that our gentle moderator will
allow it...

I should also add that I.33 shows binds against swords that are not
attacking, but are in some position close to point or blade in line (the
seventh ward, a.k.a. Longpoint, and some of the coverings used against the
various wards). In this case the "bind" doesn't involve an action that we
think of as a parry, but something rather like a blade seizure, where the
first action of the attack is directed to the sword.

The interesting thing about I.33, taken as a whole system, is that the
buckler is never used to parry. Also, the expression of tempo found in the
system is highly sophisticated - this is not the system of Meister
Hackenbash, by any means. We have actions in second intention as well as
actions in countertime. It's simple and elegant, and arguably very
effective.
