Hi Andrew,

Funny you should ask that, I've been looking myself! :-)

From what I can determine, the only 3 companies selling a foil blade with a true ricasso are Negrini and Uhlmann and Allstar. It's also possible that Triplette has them as well, but I can't tell from their literature. Availability may be a problem since it
looks like the defunct France-Lames were the main source of true ricasso blades.

There are a bunch of people selling false ricasso parts, so that you can use French blades with the Italian furniture. (Negrini has this option as well.) Using a false ricasso seems to be the only way you can have a maraging blade in Italian furniture.

The only suppliers I could find for Italian epee furniture is Negrini and The Fencing Post. If anyone else knows of another supplier for Italian epee furniture, please let us know!

Here's some of the links that may help you find what you're after:

The Fencing Post - uses Uhlmann parts for their foils, but the blades themselves are from France-Lames
www.thefencingpost/Classical_Fencing.htm

Tri-Cities Academy of the Sword - makes false ricasso parts either separate or as part of the crossbar
www.tcasfencing.com/fencing_supplies.htm

Triplette Competition Arms - sells complete Italian foils under their own name. It's not clear if the blades are true ricasso or false ricasso, but I'm guessing it's false ricasso since they can fit maraging blades. Couldn't find a link to replacement
Italian blades.

Negrini - the big wheel of Italian fencing equipment and reputed to have the best quality Italian furniture available.
www.negrini.com

Allstar - German supplier that lists Italian parts and blades.
www.allstar-fencing.com (International site) www.allstar-usa.com (USA distributer) I couldn't see Italian stuff listed in their USA catalog, but they are listed in the British catalogue http://www.allstar-fencing.co.uk/exc...ice%20List.pdf

Santelli - USA distibuter for Negrini, currently lists Italian foils as out of stick on their website.
www.santelli.com

Uhlmann Fechtsport - lists Italian equipment in their catalogue.
www.uhlmann-fechtsport.de/inhalt_e.htm

Hope that helps.

Richard
- currently looking for the stuff since you can't get it in Australia!
