| New Members - How did you find Fencing.Net? Fencing.Net is always looking to make things better and that means better understanding of who our users are. Please answer this poll telling us how you found our site, and if you have a minute to spare, please make a quick post with any more information you have such as the particular site you used, the user who referred you or the search phrase.
This is of course a completely optional poll and is being used to get a vague estimate of where our active posters come from. |

| How through google? For those that found the site via google - was it from typing in "fencing" and getting to the front page of the site, or were you looking for something more specific and came in to a thread/topic on the forums or in the news sections?
I get a ton lot of traffic from Google, but it comes in all over the place. |

| Well I actually decided to join after being referred here from google on almost every fencing query I typed in, so I decided that it was probably a pretty diverse and large communnity. The searches I did that resulted in this ranged from queries on Italian grips to just general equipment quandries; The site has pretty good search diversity in google so its hard NOT to be pointed here when entering a fencing term. |

| I also got here from Google. Put in almost any fencing search, and a fencing101 discussion forum thread was likely to be in the hit list. Checked out the site, thought it was great, and here I am. |

| I got here from a link on another website to a post. I think it was about stage combat or from a weapons vendor or something like that.

| Hmm. I don't remember what I was searching for, but it was most certainly about some fencing term or person. When I found a link to this forum, I started reading some of the other threads and liked what I saw for once (I usually hate forums). So I stick around... my apologies.
You have a very good thing here. |

| My coach, an active member here (darius), recommended this site to me. It is an excellent way for a passionate fencer to stave off boredom for the hours upon hours trapped staring at a computer screen at work, watching the clock and waiting impatiently for the hour of release and the time of practice to arrive. . . |

| Personally, I found the site using Yahoo search engine, which displayed fencing.net at the top of the list when running a search for fencing. I joined the forums because I'm starting to get into the sport, and with a two week break on meetings I was hungry for something, anything that had to do with fencing. Fencing.net was the perfect place to feed this need.

| I was new to the sport and looking for answers on just about everything. Fencing.net came up on all the Google searches I did on AOL. This is a very informative site and answered many of my questions. Thanks. |

| Here's what happened for me. It's kinda weird.
I heard about the rule changes in foil about 6 months ago from American Fencing. They didn't really go into detail, so I decided to look it up online.
Using google, I was somehow able to find posts on this forum without actually going here, so they were just text. And it was kinda confusing.
But then somehow I figured out that they were from fencing.net, and I read some posts, and I joined a couple months later.
So now I'm here. Yeah. |
