Array I just went to Google and typed in fencing after a fencing lesson. I don't remember what I was looking for, though... Friends come and go, but enemies accumulate. Just joined the forum; looking for information on my old master Georgio Santelli and what might have happened to his store, when I found this place. -

Array Fencing 101 I was on the Fencing 101 site and saw the link. I was looking for a fencing forum, and there it was, so here I am. I fenced in my college years for about a year at the local community college; that was over twenty years ago. I studied TKD for a few years after that, then I got into a few years later. But now, I'm looking to get back into fencing.

I've been interested in swordplay since i was a kid. I started to take classes about a year ago. I was looking for some fencing drills, and I found Fencing.net.

Google. Was doing generic searches on various bits about fencing and ran across it. -

Array I found this forum off The Fencing Forum run by LP Asprin Blackadder :But I thought we were fighting with swords. Wellington : Swords! What do you think this is, the middle ages? Only girls fight with swords these days. -

Array I don't qualify as a "new member," but I'm newer than Moonitic or oiuyt.
I had heard about this place around Christmas of 2000 from one of my coaches (Mergs) and a (then) fellow club member (arcon).
I saw a link on the old rec.sports.fencing newsgroup and followed it here. I joined April of 2001.
I'm not very prolific, but am a regular reader.

Array I found out about this site through other fencers at my school club and in my salle. I liked the introductory sections about drills and footwork, as well as weapon maintenance. We tell all the beginners about this site as a good source of references if they have drill questions and cannot reach a coach, plus it's interesting for them to read and lets them learn a bit about the fencing community. -

Array I had heard about it before, but became really interested after I read about it in American Fencing Mess with my cows and I'll break your knees U.S. OUT OF VERMONT More Cowbell -

Array Just got around to signing up I've actually been floating arount the fencing.net netherworld for quite some time (probably the last 6 years or so). Used your *footwork training and drills* to while away the first days of begginer classes (although learning fundamentals is incredibly important, there are better things to perhaps do than learning on-guard for the 7th time in a row). Also, used the various older articles on how to wire "x" as I am now a self-proclaimed aromorer (I personally think this is hillarious). Saw mention of fencing.net forums in American Fencing, and was like, "forums? I don't remember any forums!" Logged on...and very very shiny new look. Very nice Mr. Harkins, and what, now I can do what I look forward to every week! Goof off with other fencers of course! -

I get a ton lot of traffic from Google, but it comes in all over the place. I was looking for local places to fence in the D.C. area, and naturally your site was one of the places that popped up. (Along with plenty of companies willing to sell me chain linked fences!) I wish I had something witty to put here. -
