For those that found the site via google - was it from typing in "fencing" and getting to the front page of the site, or were you looking for something more specific and came in to a thread/topic on the forums or in the news sections?
I get a ton lot of traffic from Google, but it comes in all over the place.

I typed in some keywords such as parry, appel, drills
Being a Sabreur, a parry is something that, while I'm getting better at, is not my first priority. It is as such that I had forgotten which parry was which, and, while writing a post for an RPG, I was looking for "Carte Parry" on google, to find possibly a diagram indicating parries (that's how little I parry). I saw the archive on Dry Fencing, and while this isn't the first time I've seen Fencing.Net (having seen it before during searches for equipment), it was today that it struck me to join.
I was seeking for the 1997-1998 Rose-Hulman Fencing logo (because it's cool) with google, and in the process stumbled on a thread from 2000 looking for a fencer named Trea Bailey, and they never figured out if he was from Rose, but I think he was mentioned several times by my first instructor in 1998. At least, I think some guy named Trea was mentioned.
So in order to offer up this 5-year old answer, I opted to join the forums.
I heard about it from people on fencingforum that i am not sure whether they are active users or not bt certainly have an accout...thought id jst give it a go!

I found the site from my business partner who is the FIE photographer. I figured I should be signed up since I will be doing the reporting of stories at the World Championships!
I am looking forward to writing some synopsis' of what had happened in Leipzig and stories of fencing related news! Look here for great stories to come!
When I first started getting into fencing, I wanted to look up some training tips that I could use over the summer. I simply googled fencing and clicked "I'm feeling lucky". It brought me right to the site. Very interesting reading. I was also somewhat smitten when I caught sight of Emily Jacobson on the news during the 04 olympics, and found some nice videos in this forum. I figured I may as well sign up and see what I could contribute since I've gotten some good stuff from here.
