Official Fencing Rule Book Okay, dumb question to come from someone who has fenced for 4 years. But where can one easily and cheaply find an official, current set of rules for competition.
Thanks for you help A moment of peril is often also a moment of open-hearted kindness and affection. We are thrown off our gaurd by the general agitation of our feelings, and betray the intensity of those which, at more tranquil periods, our prudence at least conceals, if it cannot altogether supress them. -

Array Amazingly enough, you can download them from this very site.
Go to the fencing.net home page and scroll down.
If you want them in French, go to the FIE site.
MR Why sabre? Because you don't take heads with the point. -
no sh**
Now I feel REALLY dumb... hehe

Array But where can you get a paper copy? That would use up a lot of printer paper to print it all out, I kinda always wondered why equipment vendors and such don't sell them...? -

I believe you can buy it from the USFA. For about $10 or so. What you do is print it out from your workplace's printer. Then make hundreds of copies at the office's copier. Then mail them using the office postage meter. Then leave town before they ding you for all the G&A expenses. -
awesome oluyt... nobody ever gets that...
And I like the idea of using the office to print it all out. very smart
thank for asking the next obvious question for me shyheidi... A moment of peril is often also a moment of open-hearted kindness and affection. We are thrown off our gaurd by the general agitation of our feelings, and betray the intensity of those which, at more tranquil periods, our prudence at least conceals, if it cannot altogether supress them. -

Quit (no longer with us)
Array ask your teacher, maybe they can provide you one to look through, or maybe you can borrow one from someone in the class. -
re Ivanhoe: Google search on the keywords, "peril moment open-hearted kindness affection," turned up the answer right away.
Just an FYI in case you ever come across similar brain-teasers.

Array google is of course how I came up with the answer. While the quote might be recognizable, being able to know WHERE in the book it occurs is beyond even most people that are insanely good with quote memorization (which I am NOT).
