Live web stream of the European Championships...

Off the UK fencingforum.com site there is news that the organizers of the European Championships in Copenhagen (29 June-4 July) will be web-casting the finals of each event live to their website:

www.copenhagen2004.dk

Go to the 'Gallery' section for the live web stream.

Who needs TV and the networks when we have broadband?

Cheers,

Epeecurean

Great stufff. Down with TV! [it's rubbish anyway]. Up with Broadband.

If anyone is going to be there, with a video camera, I would love to see decent quality [full] footage of the finals - especially ME and MF.

Except that it will probably be a postage stamp-sized image, rather than full-screen....

I'll take MS as a bonus and everything else would be great. But as I do Epee my main interest is Epee. Although MS is interesting, it's still 3rd fiddle to the other 2. Now that I think about it, I would also like to see the ME team event as well.

As an aside I find MS great for watching fencing as a group as the arguments that get caused are hysterical. I remember watching the MS for the Worlds a couple of years back and the only time you saw us Epeeists jumping up and down and arguing was while we were watcing the MS event.

Which is why I would be willing to part with cash for some locally filmed footage [in the absence of Eurosport].

Eurosport isn't going to carry it ?

Although it will probably be second-stringers for the most part--the folks who are going to Athens probably won't be there....

That's what I hear. I hope I am wrong. I can't find it listed on the Eurosport schedule.
