A New Role for Lady Moon Okay, so it's the REAL Moon, but still...
I'm pleased to announce that I have been cast in my very first stage combat show at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. I will play a pirate in the Human Combat Chess Show. I should get my practice schedule & role next week. Then, the fun will begin. Rumor has it that I may get to use a bullwhip!
I don't know how much I'll be around once practices start. I trust that people will take good care of my dear Meekal & Moon. Of course, once the show gets started, pictures will probably follow! "Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind."

An update: I'm now "Vanity O'Lyons" (thanks, big bro Pride!), fighting with a quarter staff ("because of your experience in color guard," says The Boss). My fight is called the "cute little girl beats up the big, dumb guy" fight. It's a LOT of fun. Got my costume...waiting on approval for it now. If The Boss ok'd Kevin's "man bodice," I don't think I'll have ANY problem with mine.
Rehearsals are now three days a week, & will probably increase once we get closer to the opening (August 14th). So if you don't see me, or if I seem less than coherent...you know why! "Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind."
