German vs. French Point

Opinions desired. Is there justification for the 10% uplift for a German point? What are the pros/cons of each in actual USE?

Thanks

Bubba

Better manufacturing all around, better reliability, smoother action, both foil and epee.

yeah, basically if you have the capital to start off with German, go for it. I happened to have a run of bad luck with german points which was costing me way too much money, so I switched to the Blue Gauntlet tips, which have proved to be very nice. . . THey're all metal, like the german points, so they last a lot longer for the same price as other french points.

As an alternative for epee, the Leon Paul PTFE coated tips are cheaper than the german ones and are even higher quality.
