    Sizes in fencing knickers.

I was looking at the Ulhman "World Cup" fencing knickers on the Blue Gauntlet page and noticed that in the size selection the lower numbers were followed by a "w" while at the higher end of the scale they are followed by a "m". I'm not sure what this means and was looking for some guidance before ordering. I'm looking for a pair with a 36 inch waist, and I'm not entirely sure if their sizes are even in English units!

So, could somebody enlighten me? Thanks!

I believe it would be mens/womens. They're cut slightly differently.

Also remember when getting Uhlmann/any german stuff that you order in the German sizing system, which is different than the US system. . . You should be able to find a comparision chart somewhere to find what german size you need. . .

Well, fool that I am when I went back to the BG site to see about asking them to explain it for me I found a sizing guide. The link WAS in smaller print, but still in plain sight on the main catalog page. A 36" mens waist converts to a 54m size in case anybody is interested.
