Cleaning out our Fencing Club Locker

I'll be selling various fencing items over the next 3 weeks on eBay. Masks and equipment bags mostly. This is all equipment from the Fencing Club I attend. Click on this address to view:

Collections of parts.

Would you consider offering collections of random parts.

I frequently have need of little bits and pieces like parts of sockets. Have you ever tried to buy the little insulators for a socket when one has broken? (FYI, cutting the cap on a tube of superglue works as a stopgap for a german 2 prong socket) or a set screw for a 2 prong plug on a Prieur body cord.

If you offerred little baggies of random parts and things as collect at the bottom of repair boxes with some general description of what you might find in said baggie I would be interested in a couple at a modest price.

You find lots like this in the Automotive area on eBay frequently, and if you are involved in something where the parts are not available on most store shelves (like my british sportscar) a bag of random parts may be invaluable to another fencer.

That would be an interesting idea - not sure if anyone else will read this thread..

I remember with horror my old club (when it was taken over by new people) - they went through the toolkit and decided they only want to use one type of tip in the club - so they threw out all the other parts for other tips ...

Lucky i heard in time - i went through the bin (is this becomig a habit?!) and got the parts in time...

I agree that one tip a good idea but I tried to argue with them they should keep the spare parts in case... but that did no good... they knew better .. that was a long time ago... but still makes me shudder to remember and I kept the parts as they didn't want them....
