t shirt and lycra bike shorts over a pair of jocks - wearing sports shorts is too bulky and seems to make it a little more difficult to lunge (but that may be because my breaches are becoming a little tight over the years for some reason!?)

uw, Shorts (either soffe cheerleading shorts or wicky bike ones), t-shirt. I can't imagine fencing with jean shorts under my knickers, it would be a bit restrictive, wouldn't it?
"Contrariwise," continued Tweedledee, "if it was so, it might be: and if it were so, it would be: but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic."

That's not bad, but not armour plated.

No package protection though--it's got one of those weird football tailbone protectors instead...

Under my knickers I usually wear bike shorts that are thicker and look like jeans.. See, my knickers (I have nooo idea why) tend to be rather see-through-ish, so even if you wear white underthings they still show through just as bad as if they were a darker color.. Bleh.. The shorts make you incredibly hot but I can't find any other way around see-through-ish knickers.. Anyone have any suggestions? Pllleeeeeeaase?

I usually use some sort of sweat wicking shirt like underarmor/REI shirt/ Nike Dri-fit etc. With some underarmor boxer briefs.

Thanks for the links to the UA and CoolMax items! I also go for the least-amount-of-clothing-possible-under-the-required-gear category. I am willing to try the UA stuff....maybe not the thong (really, if that's all you're wearing, you have other issues).

It was the very first episode, I think. Blackadder is getting dressed up for a state function, and Baldrick asks him which codpiece he wants to wear. The response: "The Black Russian, I think. That always frightens the clergy."

But isn't that a primary characteristic of the best puns?
