Greater Hartford Open

From all indications, it looks like the field (locally anyway) may be pretty strong this year. I don't know exactly how many they've pre registered at this point, but a lot of the decent fencer's in the area are planning on being there. For those interested you can still pre-register. I think you can pick up an application at Candlewood's site or I can email you if interested (PM me).

I'm still on the fence whether or not to go. Must ...make....decision...soon!

I mailed in my preregistration yesterday. I hope there's a good sabre crowd there.

The Hartford Y program doesn't have it's own site, and I'm not a member there. But I know Tom posted it on Candlewood's schedule of events. I'm Just providing what info I have as a PSA since someone asked a couple weeks ago. BTW the cutoff for pre-registration is the 22nd so there's still plenty of time to get in.

Well, I can't go, but maybe my brother can, if he's not sailing.

Have Fun!

Epee field

Wondering who else might be going for Epee. Billy and I will be in New England this weekend and am considering making a trip over to hartford. Billy and I are both B04 Epee fencers and wondering if there is any possibility this could be an A epee tournament. Anyone have any guesses or ideas?

Best bet for good Epee in CT is to go to Candlewood (see post above for link). Most of the other places in the state are pretty hit-or-miss for anything but foil.
