Array Preventing Screw-burgers You know when your tip screws get all mashed into burger patties?
I heard shielding the tip with cocacola can tin around and then taping over it will help prevent screw-burgers. Has anyone tried this? -

Array I don't think I understand what you're refering to. Do you mean when the slot for the screwdrivers become stripped? -
i am not sure, but it sounds as though o4aversob is suggesting to cut a strip of metal from a soda canand wrap it around a foil barrel to protect the screws, then tape overit to hold it on and insulate it. not sure, but it sounds illegal to me, and don't sound as though it will hold very well. i would try wraping the tape around 2 times instead of once, and use a heavier cloth tape instead of the plastic tape. anyone else have any ideas, for i do not know very much about foil. -

Array the little screws can become all disformed and dented. basically they become more mashed. perhaps a better word would be screw-patty. -

Seriously,
The only thing that would make this (obsured) idea illegal is if it caused the diameter of the tip to exceed 7mm. (see m.11, 1)
Just go to the screw-less point and forget about "screw burgers"! oxxx[[======================= \\Toll Free 866-SWORD4U Slay more with a Claymore -
just double tape it. but make sure you tape well so that the weight will still fit.
really, it reduces the problem a lot.

when you're clashing blades in whatever form, esp when your flick gets parried, the tip gets hit on the opposing bell or mask or whatever. thats a looot of force behind it. tends to flatten out those protruding screws to the level of the barrel that its protruding from. flattens out the line so that using a screwdriver to remove them is nigh impossible.

Array are you referring to your tips getting damaged when travelling or am I missing the point? -
missing the point
when tips get slammed against bells, especially in the flick parry action, they (and their screws) tend to get warped to the point that the barrel will sometimes crack or make the tip immobile, or the screws will get warped so that the thread for the screwdriver will disappear. Similar Threads -
