Array Congrats are in order for Cowpaste! Just a little note that Cowpaste fenced very well this Saturday at our C1 foil event.
He starts off by beating me in the pools 5-3. Of course, I have my excuses; I was fencing with too flexible a blade for starters. At any rate, he blazed through his first DE opponents and then ran into the guy that knocked me out and was down 5-11 and made a fantastic comeback winning 15-11. He then beat my coach in the semi-finals 15-13 with either a cramp or a sprain, not sure which. Talk about a fun bout to watch! Unfortunately, Cow was forced to bow out of the finals due to his injury. Altogether a fine performance! ... without remorse for the past, confident in the present, and full of hope for the future, [d'artagnan] went to bed and slept the sleep of the brave.

Array Congratulations to him! But of course the real burning question is: has he gotten a girlfriend yet? -

Array if he does, she wasn't there ... without remorse for the past, confident in the present, and full of hope for the future, [d'artagnan] went to bed and slept the sleep of the brave.

Array Yeah, thats what I was wondering, and also, how? "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. And from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Dinosaurs nuzzling their young in pastures where strip malls should be. Cookies on dowels. All those moment, lost in time. Gone, like eggs off a hooker's stomach. Time to die" -Phil Ken Sebben -

Array If he hasn't, then a performance like that should surely have attracted somebody's attention. -

Array Wow cool, a post just for me! :P
My cramps really started towards the end of my comeback bout. It was pretty bad. My whole right leg became messed up at first. My quads, hamstrings, and calves were in a lot of pain. I could barely bend it. Then the same thing happened to my left leg. Then my forearm and wrist (of my fencing arm) went bye bye. By the end of that bout, I was in pain but it wasn't unbearable yet. My next DE was really bad. I had a good start, but then the pain started kicking in again. I couldn't retreat very well for my parries and stuff, and my engarde was starting to become rather upright. During the finals, I lost the first few touches due to stupid things. I think I lost two much touches because I couldn't retreat. After that, I couldn't bend my knees anymore even if you gave me $100, so I decided to call it quits.
I decided to stay after the tournament a very long time to make sure I was okay to drive home. A bunch of people were nice and gave me electrolyte stuffs. If I sat down for a long time and got up, my legs would start cramping again and lock straight. I had to stay and watch the off-target errr...I mean woman's competition. I cramped up a bit driving home too! Yikes!
As for the other question. Believe or not, I am still single ever since I made that "How do I get a girlfriend" post. I didn't think it was humanly possible to go this long without femalely goodness, but apparently it is. Side effects? Well, my grades are tons better, and I seem to have a bunch of free time to play games. Also, I feel less annoyed and nagged in general. My fingers, wrist, and forearms are also much, much stronger now, which is very helpful for bladework speed/power, in particular flicks and parries.
Lastly, dang you D'Artagnan for starting a tread about me. "That's hot." - Paris Hilton -

Array Cowpaste,
NP on starting the thread. You fenced well so I thought you deserved it. From our bout, you are very fast and precise. I had to really be aggressive to keep you from attacking; I guess that is why I got 3 touches off you. Good job!
it is better to be completely single than to go after a girl that will tear your heart out. Trust me, I've been there. ... without remorse for the past, confident in the present, and full of hope for the future, [d'artagnan] went to bed and slept the sleep of the brave.

Array Probably from sanding the rust off of his weapons. Its natural movement. God this is funny. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. And from this side only!
