Just an idea to share:

My budget isn't strong enough to handle a trip to California this year. But rather than mope in self-pity, I think I'll try to organize an event for my associates who have to stay home. Or maybe attend someone else's event instead. We'll see.

Might as well have fun and set my sights on next season, eh?

Hakuna matata, Bug! I can't get to Cali either (chose to have a book signing bash instead). No biggie. If you can't afford it, you can't afford it. Set your goal for next year, plan a budget, & stick to it.

Organizing an event for those who can't make it is an excellent idea. We do the same thing in Michigan. Some of us just can't get away, but still want to fence. I think you'll find some supportive people out there!
