Array more scary than Limbaugh Ok, nevermind that our dear friend Rush Limbaugh recently sympathized with the torture of Arabs in the Iraqi prisons, because I found someone a lot worse: The Israeli Minister of Transportation
If only Hitler was alive today so that we could compare the two...
really, even in America if someone in the government made such remarks about Arabs (let alone Jews), he'd be formally censured in a second. 4th Reich, anyone?
I just love it how our country supports facist governments [/sarcasm] -

Array Well, it's al jazeera. It makes FOX look fair and balanced (tm ).
I find this minister's last name interesting. I am curious if there is any relation to the one here. Would figure, anyway.
Oh, and you have, once again, proved what I believe is generally reffered to as 'Oppenheim's Principle', which states that as a political debate lengthens, the probability of one side comparing the other to the Nazis approaches 1 exponentially. Well, Oppenheim's principle is kinda irrelevant now, because both sides in this conflict have been comparing each other to the nazis for quite some time...
I disagree with the fox comparison though. With al-jazeera I've definitely found blatent one-line pushing, but very rarely any directly false journalism. They also have very quick reporting times, without any government censorship, unlike all the major american news outlets which all had 3-week delays on the iraqi prisoner torture story.
They have an inherant pro-arab bias, which I can identify a lot more to than the america-is-perfect bias espoused by fox and other right-wing establishments. It's rare that their stories majorly contrast with those given by the american media, they just write with a different slant and report important stories that seem to merit little or no concern in the western press.

Array to lighten things up, the cat at the bottom of that news page, doesnt he look like dr.evil with that pinkie to the lip thing "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. And from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Dinosaurs nuzzling their young in pastures where strip malls should be. Cookies on dowels. All those moment, lost in time. Gone, like eggs off a hooker's stomach. Time to die" -Phil Ken Sebben -

Array Definitely looks Dr. Evil. Is there a law regarding length of time before somebody is compared to Dr. Evil? Similar Threads -
