| You, me, and many others. It's a bummer (For those who don't listen to NPR, Bob Edwards did Morning Edition show for many years and was widely respected. NPR pushed him aside, and he'll now be a "senior consultant" or suchlike)

| Funny, I wake up to NPR every morning and I hadn't heard he was gone - gone. Just thought he was on vacation. Damn. I guess I really don't pay attention to it until they say something that p's me off so bad I'll get up (usually within the first 1o minutes!), which is why I have my radio set to it

| Well, now he can see primetime TV! Think of what the poor man has missed! He's never been awake for a single episode of FRIENDS. |

| I don't know Mergs. It just doesn't sound the same anymore. Sigh.
telkanuru-- I don't know that he's missed much. I got rid of the TV when I came to med school, and I have to say that quality of life has improved.

| Army, I know what you are saying. It was like when they changed the theme music. Took a while to get used to the change. Especially when you have been listening to it for the better part of 15 years. |

| I share your lamentations. *sigh* At least Garrison Keillor still gets airtime. Hope remains.

| ... i have Garrison Keillor on my wall.
no, really. my parents had the entire inside of the house repainted a few years ago, by an awesome faux painter. she did my room last, and my mother liked her and didn't want her to leave, so i was allowed to pick out 4 short quotes, one for each wall
star wars, dead poets society, shakespeare, and garrison keillor.....
