New Equipment for a College Fencing Club

Upon reready my post I find that it came out a bit more negatively than I had intended it to, especially with regards to Swordmasters company (note to self, do not post before I have had my morning coffee). I should have made it a bit more clear that I was speaking more towards the club equipment level than to the higher end stuff that he tends to carry. SM does offer very competitive prices on Vniti and Leon paul blades and they are the only US source I know of for the Estoc equipment, which from what I have seen/heard is very much competitive with Uhlmann/Allstar/Leon Paul's gear at very comparable prices.

So my last post still stands IMHO but make the mental ammendment of "in general relating to club/entry level gear".

Our club made a big order from Physical Chess last year since they had a large discount. The quality of the equipment was variable. The lames seem to be holding up pretty well, the masks were below average and the weapons were of poor quality. I wouldn't recommend ordering from them, especially if you are ordering weapons.
